Antioxidants Aromas and Fine Chemicals (PTY)Ltd, Better known as AAFC. is one of the largest manufacturers of premium quality refined antioxidants for the edible oils and food industry. AAFC was established in South Africa in 1993 by chemical giant AECI and has since become an independent company very well recognised for its hindered phenolic antioxidants. Today AAFC supplies its products in 28 countries around the world.

Hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) is a systematic preventive approach to that addresses physical, and hazards as a means of preventionrather than finished product inspection. HACCP is used in the food industry to identify potential food safety hazards, so that key actions, known as (CCP's) can be taken to reduce or eliminate the risk of the hazards being realized. The system is used at all stages of and preparation processes including raw material sourcing and handling and distribution. AAFC has HACCP complaince accreditation through Bureau Veritas.

The Oils Lab, supported by AAFC, has all the modern tools to analyze oils and biodiesels. In addition to standard routine oil assays, the Oils Lab can provide more technical studies to support new developments. For key customers, these services are provided free of charge.
